On behalf of one of our clients based in Geneva, we are looking for a:
Senior Trading Documentation Specialist
Role
The position holder shall be responsible for managing standard commodity industry trading documentation and other supporting documents and processes which will include developing documentation processes, managing documentation risk, and negotiations with customers.
In this role the jobholder is expected to work closely with the business, customers, peers, and functions (particularly credit and the law department) to ensure competent and timely delivery of documentation support in line with business priorities.
Main Responsibilities

Manage standard documentation support both operationally and strategically in line with the business priorities

Lead and contribute to the development of documentation function in line with business and market standards including active participation in industry groups and forums

Manage the documentation templates and process including keeping the balance between the use of external and internal resources

Review and negotiate master trading agreements, and other netting and cross product agreements, ensuring adherence to the firm policies and practices

Actively participate in the development of the documentation policy

Implement and manage regular reporting schedules to both management and business and ensure timely communication of all pertinent information to the relevant stakeholders

Harness key customer and supplier relationships at appropriate level e.g. premium customers, commercial teams, service providers, etc.

Take full ownership of coordination between different stakeholders in relation to document execution and work closely with law department, credit, commercial and outside parties including service providers and customers

Actively mentor and support development of fellow team members

Devise and manage training programmes and dissemination of documentation knowledge

Work closely with the documentation function in Minneapolis and align with the platform strategic view

Management and maintenance of documentation database

Anything else as reasonably required by the role
Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent, legal training helpful but not essential

Excellent written and spoken English

Proven track record in commodity documentation, preferably in a trading company or bank

Pragmatic and commercial mindset and good track record of managing key stakeholders

Independent, proactive and adoptable approach to problem solving aligned with business priorities

Ability to handle and priorities large work volumes in a fast moving trading environment whilst calm and focused

A solid decision maker and ability to justify the same through sensible and logical reasoning

Ability to challenge the current status quo and assumptions and manage change in a professional manner incorporating a broader business view

Engaging, team focused and supportive leadership style

Some people management experience desirable.
