On behalf of one of our clients, an international FMCG company with its headquarters in the Geneva area, we are looking for an

Supply Chain Planning Analyst

to join its Global Supply Chain department. The role holder will provide analytical support on supply & demand planning activities to Planning Managers and ensure preparation of the S&OP process. The position reports to the Planning Analysts team Leader.

 

Main tasks:

Analytical Support:

  • Provide day-to-day support to Category Planners to meet market demand:
  • Review the impact of new product introduction and product discontinuance, as well as manufacturing improvement programmes
  • Contribute to challenge major market moves to help Category Planners in their role of high-level correspondent for planning issues
  • Support Write-Off figures collection from the plants and send executive summary for the Brands to the finance department

Preparation of the S&OP meeting:

  • Support markets forecast collection process
  • Assess the actual sales and forecasts from markets against available and planned resources, including critical materials and components
  • Challenge product supply and inventories received from plants to meet the agreed Sales Plans and customer orders
  • Collect additional information on brands from other departments for the Sales and Operations meeting for the monthly presentation
  • Extract, analyse relevant Brand KPIs (ex. Conformance to plan) and report them to the Category Planners
  • Track the forecast accuracy against the actual agreed demand plans, and identify / propose corrective actions to continuously enhance the performance

System maintenance:

  • Maintain up to date information on Master Data (IPC, etc.) within the systems to accurately reflect the Supply Chain network
  • Follow-up SKU rationalization process and report, to ensure the implementation of the agreed action plan 

Profile:

  • University bachelor degree within Manufacturing / Logistics or equivalent qualifications
  • Min. 1-2 years of relevant planning experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
  • Fluent English; additional European languages are an asset
  • Manufacturing and Supply Chain knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Use of any ERP / APS solution is highly desirable, knowledge of SAP R/3 and / or APO is a plus
  • Computer literate (Windows and Office)
  • Dealing with ambiguity, open to change and innovation
  • Interpersonal savvy: conscious efforts to be tactful and relating well with people
  • Negotiating: can negotiate skilfully in various situations with both internal and external groups and seek compromise collaboratively
